Colleges Knights vs Brisbane Irish.
Irish 2nds travelled down the M1 last Friday night to take on Griffith Uni Knights in a 3rd vs 4th clash. Irish started very strong with an early try from number 8 Aaron Spring. Colleges kicked off to the Irish and the lads managed to score again straight away with Hooker John Watkin touching down. 0-10 to the Irish.
A few injuries for the Irish in the second half and a few mistakes let the Uni side back on the game with two converted tries. 14-10 to Colleges. A penalty from Irish out half Blake Newell made the score 14-13 with 10mins to play. The lads pressed hard on in the Colleges half but a poor turnover caused a third try for the home side and left the final score Colleges Knights 19 Brisbane Irish 13. The lads will be disappointed that they didn’t come away with the win but happy to take the losing bonus point. Up next is away trip to Med Uni next Friday night 8.00pm Kick Off

Brisbane Irish vs Brisbane Hustlers
The Brisbane Irish welcomed the Brisbane Hustlers to their ground for our annual Club Day on Saturday and the day/rugby didn’t disappoint.
The stand and clubhouse was full as Irish were looking to make it 8/8 wins in the competition this year. It was a lively start with Irish putting some great phases together and it didn’t take long for the home sides first score from back row Ollie Bastable. Some big runs and quick ball at the breakdown created chances for the Irish and more scores from Matt Smith, Sully Naulivou, Rocko Rikini and Captain Ryan Smith gave the Irish the bonus point before half time.
It was more of the same in the second half. Great direction from fly half Braden Lockyer Put the Irish in control. Two more tries from hooker Greig Munro and Aaron Spring left the full time score Brisbane Irish 50 Brisbane Hustlers 12.
Up next is a home game to Goodna
