The Brisbane Irish Rugby Football Club is a well established and progressive club competing in the Brisbane Rugby Competition - Suburban fielding teams in the Barber, Pegg and Wyatt Cup competitions.

The Brisbane Irish are seeking high caliber and enthusiastic candidates for the club’s 2010 coaching and team management positions.

We are looking for highly committed individuals who have the necessary experience, skills and ambition to help drive our club to the next level.

Applications are being sought for the following positions:

1^st XV COACH

Role:

The 1^st XV Coach will be responsible for the development and performance of the club’s flagship team.

Responsible to:

• Director of Rugby

Main Duties:

• To develop a successful rugby team.
• By using your coaching skills, develop and enhance those players under your control.
• To instill pride in the club both on and off the field.

Skills, Qualities & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years coaching experience
• Minimum ARU Level  1 Coach or equivalent
• Strong Planning Skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills              

2nd & 3rd GRADE COACHES

Role:

Grade Coaches are responsible for the development and performance of the club’s 2nd and 3rd Grade teams. They will also work in conjunction with the 1^st XV coach in developing and preparing players to play at a 1^st XV level.

Responsible to:

• Director of Rugby

Main Duties:

• To develop a successful rugby team.
• By using your coaching skills, develop and enhance those players under your control.
• To instill pride in the club both on and off the field.

Skills, Qualities & Experience:

• Minimum ARU Smart Rugby or equivalent
• Willingness to work towards ARU Level 1 qualification
• Strong Planning Skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills              

TEAM MANAGERS

Role:

Team Managers will assist Team Coaches by dealing with administrative matters involved in running the team.

Responsible to:

• Director of Rugby
• Team Coach

Main Duties:

• To take details of new members to their team
• To ensure registration of all players.
• To work with team coaches and assistant coaches in the preparation and running of each session and match.
• To travel to matches with the team
• To collect annual subscriptions and match/training fees from the players.

• Strong administrative and planning Skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
