After a storm lashed couple of days and training having had to be put off on Tuesday the forecast looks great for today over Brisbane with the Gold Coast being in the unfortunate position of getting the rain today as it passes south of the city With important games for all grades this weekend it means that a big turnout at training tonight is required in order to build on the good work of the last 3 weeks Results of last 3 weeks and the implications of this weekend's games A GRADE Win, Draw, Win This moves A Grade into the top 4 for the first time this season, 3 points ahead of this weekend's opposition Ipswich, meaning a win will consolidate our position in the top 4 and with a game in hand over the Boars have us challenging for 3rd Venue - Hurdcotte St, Enoggera Saturday 23rd May Kick Off - 3pm RESERVE GRADE Win, Win, Loss Despite the loss to the Pumas last weekend Reserve Grade still hang on to 3rd spot 4 points behind Saturday's opponents Ipswich. While a win won't necessarily guarantee they move above Ipswich into 2nd spot the fact the Irish have a game in hand over Ipswich means that we will be in the box seat when Ipswich have the bye Venue - Hurdcotte St, Enoggera Saturday 23rd May Kick Off - 1.30pm THIRD GRADE Win, Bye, Win After a frustrating start to the season that saw narrow losses for our newest side they have put 2 wins together out of their last 2 games including a 4 try bonus point last weekend. This has moved them up the ladder to 5th spot, 3 points behind Medicals. With Medicals facing a tough encounter against league leaders Easts Longhorns a defeat for them and a Victory for the Irish against Ag Vet on Friday night would move us into 3rd place and potentially have all 3 sides already in finals contention Venue - Chipsy Wood Oval (Souths Rugby Union), Frederick St, Annerley / Yeronga Friday 24th May Kick Off - 8.20pm TRAINING Lets see a big turn out for all grades at training tonight at 6.30pm at Hurdcotte Street, Enoggera |
