A Grade After a fantastic win against Pine Rivers Boars last weekend the A Grade is all fired up to carry this on in the ANZAC Day clash against current league leaders and last season's Champions - Goodna Games against Goodna always make for a great spectacle with both clubs showing a willingness to run the ball and last year was no exception with some high scoring games that ended up with the tally for the season 2 -1 in Goodna's favour This year has seen Goodna dropping their Reserve Grade from the competition, meaning they have all their concentration on the A Grade and this has seen them move to the top of the table after 3 rounds with victories over the Boars 15-3, Redcliffe 26-0 and a walk over forfeit v Gatton who could not field a side due to their Easter break Having got through last weekend's games with no serious injuries and after a great runout last night the spirit in the Irish camp is high but there will be no complacency. With Reserve Grade having the bye this weekend it means Thursday's training session will allow the A Grade squad to run through all their moves and patterns with the assistance of the Reserve Grade and with the focus clearly on Saturday This game promises to be a cracker and I encourage all supporters to make the trip to Goodna to cheer on the side this Saturday Date: Saturday, 25th April Brisbane Irish A Grade v Goodna Venue: Evan Marginson Oval, Woogaroo Street, Goodna Kick Off: 3.00pm
3rd Grade With the Bye for Reserve grade our 3s are the only other side competing this weekend with their game against Easts Longhorns on Friday evening Last year the Longhorns competed in the Saturday competitions and this season's move to Friday night has to see them as one of the favourites so another tough outing is expected for our 3rd Grade Date: Friday, 24th April Brisbane Irish 3rd Grade v Easts Longhorns Reserve Grade Venue: Bottomley Park, Halifax Street, Norman Park Kick Off: 7.20pm
