This weekend sees the resumption of competitions after the break for everyone over the Easter long weekend Friday 17th April 3rd grade start the weekend of games on Friday night when they take on GPS at Yoku road. After their game on the 4th of April v Wests was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch this will be their first chance to take up where they left off in their first game of the competition against the Medicals back on the 27th of March. While going down 17-14 the self styled "Green Machine" were always in the hunt, showing great spirit and determination, combined with glimpses of what is to come in terms of attacking flair. GPS though will present a tough test to the men in green, having won their first 2 outings 34-17 v Leo's Old Boys and 29-10 v TC Beirne SOL to put them on top of the ladder Training is on Thursday night from 6.3pm at Hurdcotte St Enoggera for anyone interested in joining our latest side Game Details Location - Yoku Road, Ashgrove All support is welcome Saturday 18th April With an amended draw for the A Grade (Barber Cup) and Reserve Grade (Pegg Cup) having been released last night Saturday sees our top 2 sides taking on Pine Rivers Boars in Pine Rivers Reserve Grade Last year the Boars were beaten in the last minute of a dramatic Grand final of the Scotney Cup by our Championship winning Reserve Grade and will be psyched up for revenge. After a loss in the first round of competition to Beenleigh, who have now been moved up to the A Grade Competiition, the 2s bounced back in style against Gatton the following weekend with a convincing 45-0 win over the students. This win was marked by some outstanding forward play in both the tight and the loose with many players showing they are nipping at the neels of A Grade and ready to stake their claim After a bye in the first round, the Boars went down 19-15 at home to newcomers Ipswich so our Reserve Grade will be keen to show the performance against Gatton was no one off Game Details Location - John Oxley Reserve, Cnr Ogg and Dohles Rocks Roads, Murrumba A Grade Coming off the back of a defeat to Gatton where A Grade suffered 8 injuries requiring replacements and still only went down 19-7 our top side is keen to get things back on track. After training was rained out on Tuesday everyone pariticpated in a very productive white board session in the club house where the club's patterns and style of play we clearly laid out for everyone to take in Thursday night's training will give everyone the chance to put the theory into practice in preparation for what presents a tough 3 weeks of games with the match against the Boars being followed by Goodna away and Gatton at home In view of the injuries against the Boars the selection panel have opted to only make changes to the front row with the Reserve Graders from Gatton being promoted en masse Game Details Location - John Oxley Reserve, Cnr Ogg and Dohles Rocks Roads, Murrumba
